Hello, I'm Peter Hostage, the creator of the Piano Guide Books and Piano Guide Lessons.
I received my musical education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and on stages throughout New England playing jazz, blues, rock, classical and more.
I've been teaching piano to adults for over 30 years, and I discovered what really works to help my students learn piano with less difficulty, less time, but with more fun.
I created Piano Guide Lessons because I found that many of the adult lesson books available were basically the publishers' "kids" books dressed up to look more “adult.” Their methods lacked the thorough music theory information that my lessons provide that help you learn music faster, with a deeper understanding of what you are playing. My lessons also provide much more variety and quantity of music to play, including classical, jazz, rock, folk, blues Latin and more.
